Finally, the 4th edition of the "Festival Internacional de les Terres de Ponent", that it should had taken place during the 2nd half of September, will not be held.

The reasons are economical. The town council of Les Borges Blanques, main sponsor of this festival, cannot assure the financial means for this festival.

The organizers of this festival are working with the city council in order to obtain such financial means and they are trying to have the help of other from other councils of the neighbor towns so that the Festival can be held next coming year and give a good quality to its public.

Mr. Jordi Satora, vice Mayor of Les Borges Blanques and main responsable for the cultural events in this town, begs pardon to the participants of this 4th edition of the Festival for the problem that the cancellation can cause.

Despite of that the cancellation will be partial. Zoom Associació Cultural, organizers of the Festival, together with the company Cine.com, now main sponsorship of the Festival, will keep on working in order to offer the on-line version of this 4th edition.

Coming soon we will announce the selected short films that will participate in this on-line edition. You can watch the Festival by streaming or superior quality download through the web page of the Festival and cine.com and its linked webs. The rules will be the same as previously.

The prices will be as follow:

- Price for the best short film
- Price for the best interpretation
- Price for the best cinematography
- Price for the best local short film

All prices will be supported by cine.com and they are as follow:

Promotion of the short film winner on cine.com. It means:
- Publishing on prized films web sector.
- Publishing on general web sector.
- Mailing News to the users of the web (around 38.000 users)
- Personal web design. Official web for the film with trailer and download
- Promotions on web engines
- General promotion on the web (publishing on the press, forums, blogs, chat, subject matter webs, etc.)
- Communications and distribution on Tv

With this letter, the organizers of the festival Borges en Curt confirm the willing to keep working for this project.

Marcel.lí Antúnez's Protomembrana will open the forthcoming Borges en Curt International Short Film Festival.
The 3rd edition of the Borges en Curt International Short Film Festival will open on Friday September 15, with a performance on the "arched square".
Protomembrana is a mechatronic* conference that describes Marcel.lí's creative methodology known as Systematurgy. The narrative element is supported by different technical devices among which are; a dreskeleton, an image capturing device and multimedia projection.
Since the end of the 20th century, the emergence of computational systems and the technology associated with them have brought about a radical metamorphosis in certain aspects of social behaviour. Artistic activity is not indifferent to these changes and some production means have been transformed, especially in those works that have a temporal dimension to their discourse.
Being aware of the transformation implicit in this situation, Marcel·lí created a number of works at the beginning of the nineties – JOAN L'Home de Carn (1992) and Epizoo (1994) – which used computational systems in a consubstantial way and with these works he launched a working methodology that is still ongoing.
Systematurgy is a new computational dramaturgy which transforms the usual scenic methodologies into a process that includes a technical diagram made up of interfaces, computational programming and digitally controlled representational means. The narrative structure of the Protomembrance conference is based on how these subjects are dealt with, preceded by an introduction.
Protomembrane includes some of the practical elements of Marcel·lí's work, although fundamentally, it proposes a different topography by emphasizing unusual or unknown aspects, or those that are rarely dealt with from what could be called Systematurgy's field of action. In this way, and as an example, the conference describes certain forms of interface such as those which are instinctive or involuntary, forms of random narration and other means of representation such as the "Dolores Orchestra" or the "Ballet Méchanique".
Protomembrane is an open work and ongoing, open to incorporating new elements and different means of expression.
